What do you buy for a Lady?

Happy Monday!

My head hurts, I'm exhausted, I'm still a little overwhelmed and the thought of wine makes me want to hide (and vomit). This can only mean one thing...I am officially 30! I made it...just about! I had a fabulous weekend filled with lots of love, laughter and lots of lovely gifts...brilliant!

OOH LA LA! I'm 30!
I love buying people gifts, I love wrapping gifts and I love thinking of gifts to buy people. I even have a little book where I write down ideas for gifts, sometimes months before their birthday! But when it comes to receiving gifts I think I'm a little like Rachel from friends- difficult to buy for! I was so lucky. I received lots of gorgeous and thoughtful gifts from family and friends, but nearly all said they weren't too sure what to buy for me...! I did receive some unusual and fun gifts; a Kermit the Frog onesie (courtesy of my brother and sister who thought I looked hilarious in it!), a lifetimes supply of my favourite cereal bar (mind you they might not last until Christmas the rate I'm powering through them!) and the deeds to a plot of land in Scotland. I'm not sure how big the land is but I'm pretty sure I could plant a small patch of vegetables on it if I wanted, or just sit on the land by myself- I don't think its a two-person-sitting-size-of-land! But nevertheless, I gained a title on my 30th Birthday...from here forth, I shall be known as Lady Katie Albury...

I'm A Lady!
So working with my new buddies over at DotComGiftShop, I wanted to create the perfect gift list for us Ladies...

I've been a fan of their shop for a few years now. They have a huge range of gorgeous gifts and decor to suit any occasion, style and taste. I had a browse around their Birthday Gifts for Women collection and have chosen my favorite items that might help anyone in need of ideas for the perfect gift:

Cook: Since moving in with the Hubster, I have really started to enjoy cooking so the retro Kitchen Scales and pretty Paisley Park Apron will not only make you look the part, but make you feel the part in the kitchen. Washing up gloves are an absolute must if you want your hands staying young and not wrinkling up before their time, and I have been using these gorgeous Shabby Chic Washing Up Gloves which look so cute and are perfect in keeping my birthday manicure in tact!

Entertain- The gorgeous Vintage Leaf Table Cloth is practical, stylish and perfect for dining, along with the cool drinking glasses. I already have the retro School Milk Bottles which can be arranged in numerous ways. I like to arrange in a line with a single cream rose in each to create a classy touch to my kitchen window sill. You can also add coloured water to the bottles to add a touch brightness to your table decor!

Relax- you're covered with this pretty Red & White Dotty Umbrella, perfect and in style this autumn season. Unwind with the Zinc Tea Light Holder and White Metal Lantern that will create a relaxing and warming atmosphere to any room in your home.

Gossip- Now that I'm steering clear of the wine for a while nothing will beat having a good gossip and catch up with my girls over a nice cup of tea (and tons of left over birthday cake of course!) I adore the Regency Pink Tea Cup & Saucer, particularly now that I am a Lady. I think I will replace all my mugs with china tea sets! I'm also absolutely loving the Stop For Tea Wall Art which would look quirky and fun in any kitchen or breakfast room.
