As part of Miss Enchanting's Guide to Christmas, I am very excited to introduce my very first guest blogger, Miss Aimee who is going to give us the low down on some of the hottest glitzy party looks for this festive season. Take it away sweets...
Well hello there you fabulous people. My name is Aimee and I am Birch's (I mean Albury's) first ever guest blogger... no pressure then (ahh!)
When Birch, (I can't help it, sorry!) first mentioned to me about doing a fashion feature for her Christmas blog I was so excited. Like most girls I love to shop. In fact I'm such a seasoned shopper now that I've become the go-to fashionista among my friends. The thing with fashion is that you can sometimes get dragged into trends that don't always suit you. One of the best things about getting older is that you usually have a good idea by this time of what works for you and what doesn't. I like to think that Birch and I nail it on most occasions these days but we both have some shockers in our past (don't worry Birch I won't mention your orange striped dungarees.... oops my bad). Haha
So for me Christmas wouldn't be complete without a few sparkles here and there so I have pulled together just a few of the most bejazzled pieces that I could find for you lovely ladies. Let's be honest it's not often that you can wear head to toe sequins after the age of 6 and it be acceptable so why not embrace it for this festive period. My personal favourite is the Aztec sequinned dress paired with some barely there sandals that are massively on trend this season. Then why not finish off the look with a fur coat to keep you warm on those cold evenings....
But if sequins aren't your thing then here are some other ideas for those work Christmas parties coming up. The leather look has been a bit of a feature in the shops recently and Christmas will be no exception, so take a look at some of the pieces that I love at the moment to give you some inspiration. The peep toe ankle boots are a great match with these dresses as they are an edgy addition to compliment the leather theme but the peep toe gives it that feminine touch. Now if you're not ready to unleash the dominatrix in you just yet then why not pick a more girly number and add a bit of lace to your party outfit.
Dorothy Perkins Red & Black Leather Dress £35.00/ Amy Childs Lace Panel Dress £70.00/ Dorothy Perkins Lace Trim Pencil Dress £38.00/ Little Mistress Sweetheart Neck Dress £69.00/ Red Ankle Strap Sandals £17.99/ Black Metal Vamp Peeptoe Heels £29.99/ Oasis Lace Clutch Bag £25.00
Hopefully these outfit ideas have inspired you and I would love to hear about what look you loved the most...are you a sequins and glitz kind of girl or a lace and leather lady??
Until next time... Over to you Birch
Love Aimée xxx
