I feel as if I’m the only one who isn’t looking forward to Spring. As the blooming season approaches I’m reminded that my maternity leave is coming to an end as well as the fact that I’m going to have to show some skin as the weather gets warmer. Ugh. Neither prospect fills me with glee right now. But there is one perk to spring being just around the corner, (and surprsingly it’s not related to chocolate eggs) and that’s the gorgeous little girly clothes in the stores at the moment. Something has to get me moving and it might as well involve shopping.
If there is one thing I love about all the bloggers I follow, it’s the fact that we share lots of lovely things. I get so excited when I spy something cute or different via their social media pages or blogs- it’s like having a personal shopper from the comfort of my sofa. So I thought I would share a few of the Spring bits that I’ve picked up for Elsie the last few weeks. P.S don’t tell the Hubster…we went without food one week just so I could refresh her wardrobe. Maybe I should do on a regular basis; it might make that sun coming out all the easier on one’s butt.
A friend bought Elsie this bear sweater hoodie (£16.95) when she was first born and I loved it so much I had to buy her a bigger one for the Spring/Summer season. This gorgeous polka dot romper will be just perfect when showing off her cubby legs and it’s completed by the organic cotton bib which is very apt as we embark on our weaning journey.
These cotton dresses are really cute and can be dressed up with tights or leggings until the weather warms up.
I absolutely fell in love with this chevron print. So much so that I had to pick up the playsuit and the pants which I’ll pair up with a vibrant basic t-shirt. I can’t wait to see her waddle around in the playsuit soon…if only did them in mummy’s size too!
For the baby who is obsessed with watermelon, these prints were made for her. I’m loving the soft pinks and greens in the watermelon dress, pink soft trousers, and two pack leggings which I’ll team up with a cute little frilly sleeved t-shirt.
Oh H&M you do it to me every time. I’m like Alice falling down the rabbit tunnel when I pop in there. This time I grabbed (quite) a few of their pretty Spring pieces, like this heart bodysuit and sweatshirt, jersey trousers and floral bodysuit. Beautiful.
As for mummy, I think I’ll be appreciating Spring through Elsie’s wardrobe for the time being.
What are you looking forward to most about Spring arriving?
Until next time…
